Watford manager Javi Gracia has grabbed the Premier League manager of the month award. The Spanish gaffer has been rewarded for his excellent contribution as the Hornets manager.
Gracia has powered Watford to the top of the table alongside Liverpool and Chelsea as they have emerged as one of the surprise packages this season. Gracia’s side has maintained a strong run in August as they made their way to the top defeating Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley and Crystal Palace respectively.
Gracia replaced Marco Silva in January who went on to join Everton this summer. The manager’s current contract is scheduled to expire at the end of this season but the club hierarchy is considering offering him a brand new deal so that he could continue the good work at the Vicarage Road.
The manager is absolutely delighted after snapping up the award. “I am very pleased.
“This award is a consequence of results in games we have played and that comes from the work of everyone here.
“We are a good family.
“It’s important not to look at the end of the road, but to enjoy the journey as well.
“When you start something you must think you can do it, but it is always more difficult in reality.
“We are enjoying our work. After four games we are doing well but you must always be prepared to adapt.”
