Javier Hernandez set for United stay

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez will remain at Old Trafford despite the lack of first-team action, according to the player’s agent.

Little Pea, as he is known, has struggled to break into David Moyes’ side due to the form of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Danny Welbeck.

However, with Van Persie out for up to a month and Rooney struggling with a couple of knocks, Hernandez has been in line for a couple of appearances over the Christmas period.

It was widely reported that the Mexican could be pushing for a move in January in order to play regularly before the World Cup, but his agent has confirmed that he will remain a United player for the rest of the season at least.

‘I had a meeting with Manchester United’s people about 10 days ago and they confirmed that there has been interest from various European clubs but it is not in their plan to transfer him.’
