Starlet admits interest in Marseille move

Chelsea youth star Jeremie Boga has admitted that he could possibly quit the English club in order to complete a move to French side Marseille.

The 18-year-old has been superb for the Chelsea Youths this season and has been a crucial part of the double-winning side. The FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League have both been won by The Blues this season.

Prepared to leave Chelsea

However, if Boga fails to make the grade at Stamford Bridge under Jose Mourinho, he has admitted that he would be more than happy to leave the club and find first-team football elsewhere, with Ligue 1 a likely destination.

Speaking in a recent interview, the play-maker admitted that if Marseille came in for him and offered him regular first-team football, the offer would be too good to turn down.

Boga Reveals Marseille Interest

Boga explained: “My first choice would be to stay in England. After that we’ll see.

“If there are good options in Ligue 1 that match my profile, I would definitely consider. Marseille? Why not? This is a club close to my heart.”

Youths at Chelsea

Many youths have failed to make the cut at Stamford Bridge, but it’s believed Mourinho and Roman Abramovich want to see more youth graduates in and around the first-team set-up.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been involved in first-team match-day squads in recent weeks, as has Dominic Solanke.
