Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has dropped a massive hint that captain, John Terry, is set to sign a contract extension at the club.
The 33-year-old, who was the only veteran to stay at the club over the Summer, signed a one year deal in May whilst both Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard were forced out of the club, and Mourinho has now hinted that another 12-month deal will be put on the table for the centre-back.
Terry has formed a solid partnership at the back alongside Gary Cahill, and when asked about his future, Mourinho dropped a big hint that the Englishman will be staying for next season as well.
The Portuguese said: “It’s not time to speak about it, but he knows what I think.”
Due to Chelsea’s policy, players over the age of 30 will only ever be offered one-year deals, and it looks like Terry will be offered a new one near the end of this season.
