Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, is hopeful that Diego Costa will be fit in time to face Queens Park Rangers at the weekend.
The Spaniard has missed the last three games, two in the Premier League and one in the Champions League, but when asked about his fitness, Mourinho revealed that he should be back for the weekend.
Chelsea, who face Shrewsbury tonight in the Capital One Cup, will be without the striker tonight, but Mourinho admitted he should be back for the clash with London-rivals, QPR.
When asked about the weekend, Mourinho stated: ‘I think so. The virus is fine.
‘It was hard when he went to hospital and obviously he doesn’t help to recover from the injury.
‘But he didn’t come here today because of the injury, not because of the virus.
‘He aggravated the hamstrings because he played two matches in three days and was not with us.
‘I hope [it is the end of his problems]. But he has national team in November.’
