Officials don’t believe he’s right for the job

Manchester United may not be appointing Jose Mourinho as their next manager after all with reports claiming they are adamant on making Ryan Giggs their next boss.

Mourinho has been heavily tipped to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the season, with the Dutchman failing to impress the majority of United fans despite their upturn in form recently.

United fans are disgruntled at the boring and negative football being portrayed at Old Trafford and they are calling for him to be replaced in the summer by Mourinho, who was sacked back in December by Chelsea.

However, according to reports, the Portuguese is now resigned to the fact he might not be appointed with senior members keen on Giggs taking over at the end of Van Gaal‘s tenure.

Lack of Trust

The word is that the majority of board members are worried about the youth prospects at the club once Mourinho takes over. The former-Chelsea boss is known for forgetting about youth players and not blooding them into the first-team, something they take seriously at United since the Class of 92 emerged.

Speaking about his job, Van Gaal hinted that he will still be at Old Trafford next year, sparking speculation that it will in fact be Giggs that replaces him in 2017.

Van Gaal said: “There are a lot of players coming to Manchester United next season because they know I give them a chance.”
