Belgian isn’t thinking about exit, says agent
Liverpool striker Christian Benteke will be at Anfield next season, according to his agent.
The Belgian international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club after struggling to settle in during his debut season, but according to his agent, he’s not thinking about leaving.
Benteke completed a ÂŁ32.4million move to Anfield over the summer after Brendan Rodgers chose to activate his release clause at Aston Villa.
Benteke Struggles
However, the Northern Irishman was sacked just a couple of months later, and since, Jurgen Klopp has opted against using the Belgian international despite having no other real striker options.
Klopp has often gone with Roberto Firmino as a false number-nine, leaving Benteke on the bench, and despite him being unsettled and unhappy with his role, he won’t be leaving over the summer.
Kismet Eris, Benteke’s agent, told Sport Witness:”Benteke’s only thinking about Liverpool at the moment.”
