Chelsea want to add THREE players

Jose Mourinho has claimed that he needs three new signings this coming summer transfer window.

The club won the Premier League title this season, for a fourth time, but Mourinho has claimed that he still needs to reinforce his squad with signings this coming summer.

Mourinho Wary of Rivals

Despite strolling to the title this season, Mourinho predicts the teams around his will all strengthen over the Summer, meaning he will have to as well.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all expected to have busy transfer periods with the trio expected to make at least three signings each.

The Blues manager has stated that he will need to sign a defender, a midfielder and a striker as the club look to maintain their status as the Premier League champions next term.

Mourinho Reveals Plans

Mourinho said: “We have to improve. If we have the same team the other teams will be better than us.

“If I keep Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic, Branislav Ivanovic, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas – for us that’s the first target.

“I think we need three players. A striker because we lost [Didier Drogba], a defender and a midfield player.”

“It will give a little bit more competitiveness to the squad, bring some new blood in, put some players a little bit under pressure.

“They know they have someone waiting, I need that to support my way of working.”

Potential Target

Some reported Chelsea targets include: Antoine Griezmann, Raphael Varane, Radamel Falcao, Christian Benteke, Enner Valencia and Koke.
