The Old Lady interested in Brazilian playmaker

Juventus are set to launch a £30million bid for Chelsea midfielder Oscar.

The Serie A champions have been long-term admirers of the Brazilian and had been toying with the idea of offering him as part of a player-swap deal for Paul Pogba.

However, Juve now want to keep Pogba and will do everything in their powers to do so, but still want to bring in Oscar and are prepared to pay as high as £30m for him.

The 23-year-old is seen as an ideal replacement for outgoing Andrea Pirlo, who’s set to join the MLS this Summer for one last challenge in his career.

Mourinho’s Worries

Oscar’s future at Stamford Bridge is far from certain as it’s believed Jose Mourinho is getting annoyed at his performances during the latter part of the seasons.

Mourinho has questioned the Brazilian numerous times about why his work-rate and performance levels drop during the second-half of the season, and if a £30m bid was made, he could be tempted to sell.

Despite Mourinho being unsure, Oscar has recently revealed he wants to stay in West London.

Oscar Eyes Stay

“I’m very happy here,” he said. “I get along with everyone, and the club shows its praise towards me.

“Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so I don’t see why I would think of leaving.

“There are different tactics depending on the opponents we face, and we respect the manager’s choices.

“Sometimes I’ve ended up not playing the entire match, but I’m doing my best to fulfil my role. I’m happy with my performances.”

Since arriving back in 2012, Oscar has made just over 150 appearances for The Blues, scoring 30 goals.
