Playmaker could be in squad for EFL Match vs Southampton
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Philippe Coutinho is fit enough to be included in the squad for the Reds’ trip to Southampton in the EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
Coutinho picked up an ankle injury at the end of November in their game at home to Sunderland.
But Klopp has revealed in his pre-match press conferece that he could feature in the team on Wednesday.
“I think Phil is fit enough to be a big part of the squad. (It) means there could be minutes. It depends on the game,” the Liverpool manager said.
“It’s been six or seven weeks. It’s long. But no final decision has been made until now.
“I think [it was]Â the third complete session, tomorrow is the fourth.”
