Liverpool and Arsenal target Mateo Kovacic’s agent has denied the 20-year-old £22 million-rated midfielder will join the Reds this summer.
It was believed the Anfield-outfit had beaten the Gunners to the race for a highly-regarded player in Italy, and that therefore a deal had already been done.
But his agent, Nikky Vuksan has quashed all rumours about the Croatia international’s fuutre. “It is not going to happen. Mateo extended his contract with Inter in January.” Vuksan said.
“Both the English and Italian media speculate and find new clubs that want Kovacic every week. He’ll stay at Inter.
“Also, if there was something going on, believe me, journalists would be the last to find out.”
Catalan giants Barcelona are also thought to be tracking the Austrian-born star’s progress also, while Inter could sell if they believe they could be in with a chance of signing Manchester City’s Yaya Toure.
