French striker hands Arsene Wenger green light
French striker Alexandre Lacazette has given Arsene Wenger a green light to sign him for Arsenal, but admitting he ‘doesn’t want to refuse offers’ for his services.
Lyon announced last month that they had rejected a £29million bid from the Gunners for Lacazette but it appears the France international would accept a transfer to north London if a higher offer comes in for his services.
‘If offers come in that one cannot refuse, I don’t want to refuse them. If not, I am happy at Lyon,’ Lacazette told CANAL+ following Lyon’s 3-0 victory over Nancy.
Get French Football suggest the reporter then asked Lacazette if he had received any offers, to which he responded with a smile: ‘Ask the president.’
Reporter: Do you have offers?
Lacazette (smiles): Ask the President.
Reporter: He's convinced you're staying.
Lacazette: I'm staying then.— Get French Football News (@GFFN) August 14, 2016
