Laurens claims Lloris likely to leave Tottenham

French football expert Julien Laurens believes unsettled Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will leave the North London club this summer. It is believed the keeper is becoming increasingly frustrated with life at White Hart Lane as Spurs continue to struggle to gain Champions League football.

The goalkeeper has been in fine form throughout this season but it hasn’t stopped his club from losing numerous games to rivals and he has voiced his displeasure with the side claiming they can’t do any worse next season.

Lloris himself said: “We conceded a lot of bad defeats. This season we had sometimes the feeling that we gave up. We can’t allow this kind of behaviour. We have to show more character.”

Now, Laurens has claimed he will be looking to move on this summer, with PSG waiting in the wings. When he was asked if the French shot-stopper would be staying, he told talkSPORT:

“I think that would be very unlikely. He’s just a bit frustrated by the way the season has gone. Don’t forget, he joined Tottenham because he was told they would qualify for the Champions League, if not in the first season than at least in the second and beyond. But it’s been two seasons now and I just think it hasn’t been how he expected when he joined.”

Speaking about a possible PSG move, Laurens said: “I think a move to PSG could happen, they are looking for a goalkeeper, but there are not many clubs who will be looking for a goalkeeper and would be able to pay between ÂŁ20million and ÂŁ25million for him.

“It might be the case that there might not be anything better than Spurs to go to, so then I guess he would be happy to stay and try again for another season to finish in the top four.”
