Joleon Lescott will see out the remainder of his contract at Manchester City, despite interest from various Premier League clubs.
Lescott was heavilly linked with West Ham United during the transfer window, but has opted to stay at the title chasers.
City were all for letting Lescott leave the Etihad to gain regular first team football.
Fulham, Tottenham and Turkish side Besiktas were also interested in the Wolverhampton born man.
However, West Ham United were close to sealing a deal, with Allardyce pursuing a deal for the defender, in a proposed loan deal.
Lescott will see out his contract, before leaving on a free in the summer.
He has made just seven appearances for City, but could end the campaign with a couple more winners’ medals as the Blues chase the quadruple.
