Southampton star, Adam Lallana, is currently pleading with Southampton to allow him his dream move to Liverpool in the summer.

The midfielder, who is celebrating his 26th birthday today, looks set to leave Southampton after 14 years at the club. Lallana has been speculated to move all season, and it seems that the player wants to move to a bigger club to further his career.

It is understood that Lallana met Saints executive director Les Reed last night in an attempt to force through a move to Liverpool.  Liverpool have tabled a ÂŁ20 million bid for Lallana, but rivals Manchester United could also prove to be potential suitors for the player’s siganture when a new manager is announced at Old Trafford.

However, Anfield seems the preferred destination for the England international, and Lallana is keen to make this move happen before the World Cup starts. The player also believes that after 14 years of service at the club, Southampton should not stand in his way and allow him to get his dream move.
