Liverpool already in managerial talks

According to reports, Liverpool officials are already in talks regarding potential managerial replacements as Brendan Rodgers’ job comes under further scrutiny.

The Reds were eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday night after a 1-1 draw against FC Basel at Anfield saw them finish third in their group, with a poor 5 points from six games.

As well as a poor Champions League campaign, Rodgers’ side is struggling in the league as well, as they currently sit ninth, 15 points behind league-leaders, Chelsea.

Liverpool have already lost six Premier League games, the amount they lost in the whole of last season, and Rodgers’ job is on the line, with officials growing frustrated at the poor campaign.

It was an up-and-down Summer for Liverpool as they lost star-man, Luis Suarez to FC Barcelona, but still splashed out over £100million on new faces, but the slow start and the amount of money spent is costing Rodgers dearly.

Jurgen Klopp and Andre Villas-Boas are just two names on the list, and according to a respected source, things aren’t looking good for Rodgers.

‘It doesn’t look good for Rodgers,’ he explained.

‘There’s been contact with alternatives to replace him. The fact that they’re looking shows Rodgers is not in a good place.’
