Liverpool are reportedly already working on a potential deal to bring Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, to Anfield, in the January transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers is still keen on adding more firepower to his attack, despite signing Mario Balotelli from AC Milan in the Summer for just £16million, and it appears Benzema is his number-one target in mind.
The Madrid forward, who recently signing a contract extension at the Bernabeu, has been linked with an exit from Spain for years now, with several Premier League clubs showing interest in him, but it’s believed that it could be Liverpool who finally sign him.
According to reports in Benzema’s homeland of France, the striker is unhappy in Spain and is looking for a move abroad in order to face a new challenge in his career, and Liverpool are preparing an offer which they can then present to Madrid.
Liverpool aren’t the only side interested in the Frenchman however, as Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring his situation.
