Gomes most likely to leave Barcelona
Accoding to Spanish Newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Premier League giants Liverpool and Italian giants AC Milan are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes. Since joining Barcelona, the Portuguese hasn’t quite settled there and may leave Camp Nou this summer
Apparently there has already been contact between Liverpool and Gomes’s brother. Jurgen Klopp sees Gomes as replacement for German midfielder Emre Can, who is set to leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer with Juventus leading the race to sign him.
AC Milan are also keeping tabs on Andre Gomes. Milan’s sporting director,Massimiliano Mirabelli, has instructed his scouts to watch Gomes during Portugal’s friendlies against Egypt and Netherlands.
Andre Gomes also recently confessed about his struggles to deal with criticisms from the supporters-
“I don’t feel good on the pitch,” he said. “I am not enjoying what I am doing. The first six months were pretty good but then things changed.
“Maybe it’s not the right word to use, but it has turned into a bit of a hell, because I have started to feel more pressure. With pressure I feel fine, but with the pressure on myself, I don’t. The feeling that I have during games is bad.”
“In training, I am relaxed,” he added. “I feel comfortable around my teammates. Obviously, there are days that I feel a little low on confidence and in training it can be noticeable.
“Maybe I played the day before and I still have the image of the game in my head and that doesn’t let me move forward.”
Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia for a fee around €35 million in 2016.
