Liverpool are refusing to give up on signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi, despite the Argentinian admitting he would prefer a move to Italy.
Lavezzi, who has previously played for Napoli, revealed that a move to Juventus would be hard to turn down, despite Liverpool being interested in the 29-year-old, as well as close-rivals Chelsea.
It’s reported that Liverpool are willing to offer up to £18.5million for the winger, but can’t make the formal offer until they receive funds from FC Barcelona for the Luis Suarez transfer.
The Reds are still waiting for some of the £75m which Barca agreed to pay for the Uruguayan striker, and once all cash has been received, the Premier League side are ready to make their move for the Argentina international.
PSG are desperate to sell Lavezzi so that they can raise funds for Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.
