A left-back merry-go-round could be in line to take place this Summer with Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all set to be involved in signing new full-backs.

Liverpool are keen to find their number-one left back after Aly Cissokho is set to return to Valencia after his season-long loan, whilst United are preparing for Patrice Evra’s departure and Chelsea ready to lose Ashley Cole on a free.

With all three clubs set to be on the look out for a new left-back, they could all help each other out by who they sign.

According to reports, Brendan Rodgers is ready to give up in his hunt for Luke Shaw, and could turn his attentions to possible free-agent, Ashley Cole from Chelsea.

The 33-year-old was caught on camera crying at Stamford Bridge during their lap of honour at the full-time whistle, which has sparked massive rumours that he could be leaving the club in the Summer.

With Liverpool ready to sign Cole from Chelsea, Jose Mourinho is keen on signing a new left-back, and despite wanting Shaw from Southampton for the majority of the season, they are now showing interest in Seville’s Alberto Moreno.

If The Blues are to sign Moreno, that leaves United a clean path at trying to lure Shaw from Southampton to Old Trafford, as they are ready to make a formal bid of around ÂŁ30million for the Englishman, and could also offer him around ÂŁ100k-a-week.
