Liverpool, along with Tottenham and Inter Milan have been linked with the Argentine after reports emerged that the player will not be offered a new contract by PSG.
Boss Laurent Blanc is thought to be open to any offers from clubs next month in an effort to cash in on the winger whose contract is soon to expire.
And despite claims that the Ligue 1 champions were looking for £16m for the 29 year-old, it now appears as though they are willing to accept a reduced price of £8m.
Brenden Rodgers will be keen to bring in Lavezzi to add to the attacking force which has been disappointing so far, with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini and Lazar Markovic all failing to impress since their summer moves.
With Balotelli still yet to register a Premier League goal in Liverpool colours, and Daniel Sturridge sidelined with injury, Lavezzi could be an answer to the Reds’ problems.
