Reds pick up second pre-season victory

Liverpool won their second pre-season friendly this morning after seeing off Australian side Brisbane Roar thanks to goals from Adam Lallana and new-boy James Milner.

The Reds picked up an emphatic 4-0 victory in their first friendly during the week and they continued their impressive pre-season form by picking up a 2-1 win in Australia.

Summary

Despite going 1-0 down early on, Brendan Rodgers‘ side fought back and grabbed an equaliser after a tidy finish from Lallana, who netted his second goal during the club’s tour.

Liverpool nearly went into half-time with the lead but Mamadou Sakho saw his goal-bound header cleared off the line, denying him his second goal of the tour.

However, the Premier League side finally got the winner after decent work from Milner before his deflected shot looped over the stranded ‘keeper.

Liverpool’s next game is on Monday when they take on Adelaide United, before ending their Far East tour on Friday against a Malaysian XI.
