Reds beat Adelaide United 2-0
Liverpool ended their tour in Australia with a 2-0 victory against Adelaide United yesterday.
Goals from new-boys Danny Ings and James Milner topped off a successful pre-season tour for The Reds, and they are now set to fly back to the Far East for a friendly against a Malaysian XI.
Brendan Rodgers‘ men had two games in Australia, one against Brisbane Road, which they won 2-1, and one against Adelaide United yesterday.
Summary
Milner gave the visitors the lead just after the hour mark, turning home a low driven cross to score his second goal for his new side during their pre-season.
Ings then doubled Liverpool‘s lead after he was put through by right-back Nathaniel Clyne, and after rounding the goalkeeper, the former-Burnley man netted his first goal for his new side.
Rodgers will now see his side take on a Malaysian XI before having a friendly against a Finnish side, before taking on Stoke City in the Premier League.
