Liverpool are ready to spend £30million on Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentine international was strongly linked with a move to Anfield over the Summer after falling down the pecking order in France, but any potential move failed to materialise and he remained in Paris with Laurent Blanc’s side.
However, after struggling for goals so far this season, Brendan Rodgers is now ready to add more firepower to his side and believes Lavezzi is the right man to add.
The 29-year-old had been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea during the Summer transfer period, but it looks like only Liverpool are interested and could make a £30m bid in January.
Despite defending new signing, Mario Balotelli, Rodgers has admitted that the lack of firepower and goals is a real concern as they look to go one better than last year, when they finished second in the Premier League.
