Jurgen Klopp already eyeing three transfers for the summer
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping tabs on three players ahead of potential moves at the end of the season.
The Reds boss has already signed Marko Grujic and Steven Caulker so far this window, with the latter being on a six-month loan deal, but according to reports, he’s now readying transfers for the summer instead.
It’s reported that Klopp wants Liverpool scouts to keep tabs on Piotr Zielinski, Joel Matip and Ben Chilwell, with the intentions of buying them all at the end of the season.
Serie A Talent
Zielinski is a 21-year-old Polish midfielder who is currently on-loan at Empoli from Udinese. His performances in Serie A have caught the eye of potential suitors Juventus and Napoli, but Klopp is eager to get in front of the Italian duo.
Klopp was keen on trying to strike a deal this window, but it’s believe he will continue to monitor the midfielder’s progress over the next few months.
Defensive Duo
As for Matip and Chilwell, they are two defenders, with the former becoming a free agent in the summer once his contract with Schalke expires. As it stands, Matip has no plans to renew his contract in Germany, which means Liverpool can sign him for a free.
Chilwell is currently on Leicester City‘s books, but he’s already been monitored by Arsenal, and it’s reported Klopp could also be keen on landing him once the season ends.
The three deals won’t be expensive for Klopp and Liverpool, but it’s expected to be a busy summer at Anfield with the German set to stamp his mark on the club after taking over earlier this season.
