Liverpool secures deal with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen
Liverpool Football Club has apparently negotiated a blockbuster agreement with Napoli’s prolific forward, Victor Osimhen. The 24-year-old Nigerian, who has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, seems to be on the verge of making a transfer that will change the football market.
According to Italian journalist Valter De Maggio, Area Napoli. Osimhen and his agent, Roberto Calenda, have decided to reject a contract extension with Napoli in favor of the desire of Anfield.
De Maggio stated: “The parties had reached an agreement for the renewal, but then Calenda and Osimhen went back on their word. What happened? There was the inclusion of another club, from the Premier League. I’m talking about Liverpool.
“There would be frequent contacts, but I just learned something else: there would be agreements already reached. Let me clarify: the agreements would be between the Reds and the player, therefore they would not involve Napoli. I hope Laurentiis will be able to keep Victor Osimhen at least until June, but we can’t be sure.”
Osimhen, who was crucial in Napoli’s Serie A success the previous season, delivering a stunning 31 goals and 5 assists. In the current 23/24 season, he has already scored six goals in ten matches, pushing Napoli to fifth place in the Serie A league table.
This potential deal is an exciting chapter for Liverpool and its fans, who are looking forward to adding Osimhen’s talents into their strong team. The alleged £150 million deal shows Liverpool’s determination to get one of Europe’s most wanted players, and it could very well be the missing piece they require to keep up their Premier League rule.
