Liverpool in possible TRIPLE SWOOP!

Brendan Rodgers, who until recently has been under intense pressure at Anfield, is looking to the future.

The Liverpool manager is considering a move for three pivotal personnel to enhance the current youth setup.

Primarily, Rodgers wants former Barcelona talent scout; Albert Valentin, to help with the youth setup at Melwood. Valentin carried out a number of roles at the Spanish giants, including chief scout under Barca supremo, Pep Guardiola.

Rodgers, who is fluent in Spanish himself, is a keen admirer of Valentin’s work and would love to have respected Spaniard alongside him at Anfield.

Along with considering a move for Valentin, Rodgers is also watching two highly rated youth players; Porto 17-year-old midfielder, Ruben Neves, and 16-year-old Paraguayan striker, Sergio Diaz.

Neves has impressed in the Portuguese league with a number of quality displays for the first team and became the youngest ever player in the team’s history to score on his full debut. There have been reports of a possible ÂŁ29million deal, but that seems somewhat extreme for a 17-year-old.

Diaz, who plays up front for Cerro Porteno in his home country, has attracted interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, and Liverpool may have to move swiftly to get him on their books anytime soon. He already has a value of ÂŁ5.25million, so it may be prudent to snap him up quickly.

Nobody is too sure what Liverpool will end up doing in the last couple of days in this transfer window, but at least Rodgers looks to be considering the future as well as the immediate team.
