Liverpool join the race for Ravel Morrison

Rodgers, who has a proven track record of bringing the best out of young players and introducing them into his first team, is the latest top manager to be linked with a move for the midfielder whose future at Upton Park is unclear.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at QPR after apparently falling out of favour at West Ham, but if he continues to perform like he did against Birmingham at the weekend, when scoring twice, the list of potential suitors will continue to grow.

West Ham took something of a gamble when they signed Morrison from Manchester United but it remains to be seen if they will keep him or allow him to leave in the close season.
If Liverpool can snap him up for a bargain price it may turn out to be a very shrewd move, with Birmingham boss Lee Clark comparing Morrison’s skill levels to that of former England star Paul Gascoigne last weekend.
