Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he doesn’t want to bring back Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie this Summer.

The Dutchman swapped the Emirates Stadium for Old Trafford last Summer and nine-months later was celebrating his first ever Premier League trophy, but since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, things haven’t been the same for Van Persie at United.

In several interviews in his homeland, Van Persie has criticised his team-mates for ‘getting in his way’ during matches and he is also not a fan of working under David Moyes.

A move back to Arsenal has been reported several times over the past few weeks with reports suggesting that the striker himself wants to make a shock return to North London, but talking ahead of his side’s match with Bayern Munich, Wenger has admitted that he doesn’t want to bring back his former-star.

When asked about the possible transfer, the Arsenal boss made it clear that he doesn’t want to talk about it, and despite agents trying to force a deal between the two clubs, it’s believed that Wenger doesn’t want to re-sign the 30-year-old.

Premier League rivals Chelsea are also interested in the Van Persie saga, as well as Juventus from Serie A and AS Monaco from Ligue 1.
