Liverpool is leading the race to sign Alisson.

Liverpool are considered favourite in signing Alisson from AS Roma.

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sports, the Reds have made a bid of €70 million (£62 million/$82 million) for the Brazilian goalkeeper but it got rejected by the Italian club as the demand was a bit higher. The club wanted something between €75 million (£66 million/$88 million) and €80 million (£70 million/$93 million).

The report also says that Chelsea are also in the race for the player and a bid can be made soon for the goalkeeper.

Alisson in his initial days was a part of Brazilian club, Internacional for 4 years and represented the side in 115 games.

He was then signed by AS Roma in the year 2016. However the fee was undisclosed by the Italian side. He spent his majority of the season as understudy to Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczensy. He made only 15 appearances for the side in his first season, but soon after Szczensy departure to Juventus, Alisson was made the front line goalkeeper for the side. He represented the side in 49 games and across all tournaments including UEFA Champions league.

The Goalkeeper has been one of the premier goalkeeper last season across Europe and has been linked to clubs like Napoli and Juventus as well. The goalkeeper was also a part of the Brazilian squad that lost in the Quarter-final of the World cup in a 2-1 loss against Belgium.
