sillyseason understands that Liverpool have made contact with Barcelona over a possiible move for Dani Alves in the last 24 hours.

After spending 8 years at the Nou Camp, this season looks certain to be Alves’ last with the club as a list of European clubs are interested in making a move for the right back. Paris Saint germain were said to be interested but that interest has died down due to their problems with the financial fair play rules.

Arsenal also have the Brazilian on their radar after speculation that Bacary Sagna may be on his way out of the club. However Liverpool have now joined those two clubs by contacting Barca and confirming their interest. The Reds are also interested in Barcelona’s Christian Tello, but talks have taken place over the Alves situation.

Alves’ contract at the Nou Camp runs out next June and any club wanting to buy him before then will need to meet Barca’s asking price of ÂŁ15million.
