According to recent reports, Liverpool have rekindled their interest in Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan after the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona. The Reds are willing to invest more money from the sale of the Uruguayan into the possible transfer of Arda Turan from Madrid.
Atletico Madrid are currently keen on signing Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, but need more funds to make the transfer a possibility. Liverpool recently made an enquiry regarding a potential move for Turan and it is understood that the Turkish international wants a move to Anfield this summer. The Merseyside club were linked with the player during last season’s transfer windows, however, the winger signed a new contract with The Madrid side at the conclusion of last year, which included an increase in his release clause worth £32 million. However, it is believed that Liverpool will now be able to activate the release clause in the player’s contract with the backing of the extra funds gained from the Suarez deal.
A transfer is currently looking like a high prospect after Turan’s agent himself confirmed that The Anfield club have expressed interest. ‘Arsenal and Liverpool ? A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned,’ Bulut established.
Turan almost moved to Old Trafford last summer, however The Red Devils decided to sign Marouane Fellaini instead.
