According to recent reports Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal for Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell. The former Manchester United man is available for just ÂŁ600,000 after newly-promoted side Leicester City triggered the release clause in his contract, however The Foxes failed to agree personal terms with the 26-year-old.

It is understood that Palace are currently holding deep talks with the player and they are coming along well. The Eagles are confident that they will secure the signing of the Englishman in the coming days.

It is believed that manager Tony Pulis is close to completing an ÂŁ8 million deal for Cardiff defender Steven Caulker, which would be a club-record transfer fee, as he looks to strengthen his side ahead of another campaign in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, The Eagles are also interested in Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson who has been told that he can leave White Hart Lane if an ÂŁ8 million pound offer is met.
