Liverpool are set to turn their attention back on Paris-Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani if the pursuit to sign Radamel Falcao on loan proves fruitless. Manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is still looking for a big-name striker to replace Luis Suarez, who departed from Anfield earlier this summer to Barcelona.
Despite Liverpool’s strong interest in Falcao, they are facing competition from Juventus, who according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, will be make a tough rivalry for the Colombian’s signature.
However,according to the Bild, Rodgers has made Cavani his plan B should the deal for Falcao fail. Liverpool were linked with Cavani earlier this summer, along with Arsenal, but accoring to the Bild, PSG have no intentions in selling him, but may be open to negotiations should a fee offered contribute to the funding of target Angel Di Maria.
