Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has demanded the club offer him a contract of around £100k-a-week.
The Englishman has reportedly rejected the first contract that has been put on the table by the club, thought to be worth around £80k-a-week, and he has issued his demands of £20k more.
Henderson, who is set to take over as captain next season, has been in superb form in recent weeks for The Reds and with his contract expiring next Summer, officials at the club are desperate to get his long-term future settled.
However, after being offered an £80k-a-week contract, Henderson was quick to reject the new deal and asked for closer to £100k.
The mood around Anfield is a confident one as they believe he will stay, but he’s keen to see his current £65k-a-week contract rise to £100k.
