According to reports, Luis Suarez is set to be offered a new deal at the beginning of 2014. This deal is rumoured to smash the current pay structure at Liverpool and even rival the wages of stars at Chelsea and Man city.
After a summer that consisted of the Suarez transfer saga, Liverpool managed to hold on to their star man, however the rumours have not stopped with many believing Suarez could be Madrid bound in the summer or even as early as January.
With two and a half years left on his contract, Liverpool will be eager to tie down their star player and continue to push for a Champions league place.
Suarez seems to be settled at Liverpool after the saga in the summer and agreeing a deal with the club will out minds that are associated with Liverpool at rest.
However many believe for Suarez to stay, Liverpool must reach their target for the season and finish in the top four. Time will tell whether Liverpool feel they need to offer Suarez a lucrative contract that would make him the clubs highest earner by a substantial amount, but for now Suarez still remains a Liverpool player.
