Reds prepared to sell striker if valuation is met

Liverpool are ready to cash-in on out-of-form striker Christian Benteke, but only if interested clubs meet their £25million valuation.

The Belgian international has been struggling for game-time at Anfield following his £32.4million move from Aston Villa in the summer, and he’s already being linked with a surprise move away from the club.

Benteke was a Brendan Rodgers signing, but since then he has lost his job and been replaced by Jurgen Klopp, who isn’t keen on using the powerhouse striker.

Benteke Out of Favour

Klopp has opted to go with Roberto Firmino as a false number-nine, and now he is using fit-again Daniel Sturridge, leaving Benteke on the bench.

Despite the striker himself and his agent reiterating their desires to remain at Liverpool and fight for his career, he could be set for a swift exit this summer if someone offers around £25m.

Reds officials are prepared to accept a loss on the striker, but they want at least £25m if they were to sell.
