Source claims Shakhtar Donetsk striker has agreed personal terms with Reds
Liverpool have reportedly won the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira, with the Brazilian agreeing personal terms with the Anfield outfit.
The Reds have been competing with Premier League rivals Chelsea for the signature of the striker, but according to reports in Ukraine, Teixeira has agreed to join Liverpool.
Ian Ayre flew out to Florida last week in order to hold talks with Shakhtar, and although they saw their initial bid of around £25million turned down, it’s believed they have already convinced Teixeira to join.
With reports in Ukraine claiming personal terms have been agreed, all that’s left is for Liverpool and Shakhtar to agree on a transfer fee, which is believed to be around £37.8m.
Personal Terms Agreed
FutbolUkraine are the Twitter account that have reported Teixeira agreeing personal terms with Liverpool, and they’ve also claimed the news has come from an club source.
“Alex Teixeira has agreed to personal terms with Liverpool and the only issue left in the transfer is Shakhtar’s decision.
“Source is a member of Shakhtar’s staff. Nowhere in management though.”
