Striker has pleaded with Roman Abramovich to keep under-fire manager in charge

Chelsea star Loic Remy believes the club will be worse-off without Jose Mourinho in charge.

The Blues have had a nightmare start to the new campaign, losing five of their 10 Premier League matches and already being eliminated from the Capital One Cup.

Remy, who scored in last night’s penalty shoot-out exit to Stoke City, however believes the club would be worse-off if they didn’t have Mourinho at the helm and he has pleaded with Abramovich not to sack the under-fire manager.

Remy Supports Mourinho

“It’s important for him [Mourinho] to stay and we don’t want to give up,” the Frenchman said.

“We were champions together only last season and he is a really great manager.

“Of course I don’t want him to leave. I think all the players don’t want that.

“The spirit is good and we are not affected by the situation. We will just keep training well.

“I’m sure the opportunity to win games will be here sooner rather than later, but obviously it is better for us if it is sooner.”

Future Without Special One?

Mourinho has already been linked with a few new jobs, with Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco and Inter Milan all reportedly holding talks with the Portuguese.

Chelsea are reportedly lining up offers for Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti if Mourinho does leave Stamford Bridge.
