Shane Long is all set to complete a £12 million move to Southampton, after a fee was agreed with Hull City, according to Sky Sports.

Long only moved to Hull in January, for a £7.5 million deal from West Bromwich Albion, and has scored five goals in 15 appearances for the Humberside club.

The 27 year old signed in a double deal with Everton striker Nikita Jelavic, but now looks set to complete the deal to move to the South Coast side.

New Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keen on adding Long to his squad, after a summer of departures at St Mary’s.

Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Luke Shaw, Dejan Lovren, Dani Osvaldo and Callum Chambers all left the club this summer.
