Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, vetoed the club’s move for Cesc Fabregas AND Toni Kroos in the Summer.

According to reports, the first thing Van Gaal did when he arrived at Old Trafford was cancel the plans to sign Fabregas from FC Barcelona and Kroos from Bayern Munich.

Eventually, Fabregas joined rivals, Chelsea, and Kroos left Munich in order to join Real Madrid, and both have had superb seasons since completing their moves.

Fabregas has been vital for Jose Mourinho’s side and has been a real boost to the West London side with the amount of assists he has and the chances his creates.

When Van Gaal was told about the plans to sign Fabregas and Kroos, he persuaded the officials to go for Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo instead, as he felt they were needed more for the club.
