Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has held secret meetings with eight of his players, and has told seven of them that they are going to be sold if formal offers come in for them.

The Dutchman has been keen to streamline his squad, but was prepared to give everyone a fair chance during his first pre-season, but with the opening weekend for the Premier League just six days away, Van Gaal is ready to take action.

It’s been reported that the United boss has held one-to-one meetings with eight of his players, and told a whopping seven of them that they will be sold if an offer comes in for them.

Javier Hernandez, Marouane Fellaini, Wilfried Zaha, Will Keane, Nani, Anderson and Rafael have all been told that they are not wanted at Old Trafford and have all been said that they could be moved on this Summer if interest in them is shown.

The only player to survive the meetings with Van Gaal, was Shinji Kagawa, who was told he would be staying, but would be behind the likes of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata.

It’s believed there is serious interest already in the transfer listed players, and Van Gaal is keen to move quickly in order to sell them on.
