Inter Milan manager, Roberto Mancini, has made Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva a top transfer target for this month.
The Italian side have already loaned in Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski and Bayern Munich’s Xherden Shaqiri, but he is keen to not stop there and is now focusing on bringing in Lucas on a permanent deal.
The 29-year-old midfielder has fallen out of favour at Anfield, with Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard the preferred midfield-duo, but with Gerrard leaving in the Summer, Brendan Rodgers has a big decision to make on whether he allows the Brazilian to leave this month.
Lucas is keen on the move to the San Siro as he wants regular first-team football.
The midfielder has two years remaining on his current deal, but is eager to leave unless his squad status changes under Rodgers.
