Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura insists they still believe they can still move to the last 16 of the Champions League.
The North London giants are yet to register a win so far this season in Europe’s premier competition. Spurs let loose their grip on the match as they allowed PSV Eindhoven to take in the last minute goal to share the spoils. This goal could prove costly and could hurt their Champions League ambitions.
Hirving Lozano drew the first blood for the home side but Lucas Moura was there to reduce the deficit for the North London giants. Harry Kane was on the verge of sealing three points with a goal at the stroke of 54th minutes.
But Hugo Lloris’ red card seemed to have dashed their hopes as the Dutch side salvaged their pride with the last moment equaliser from De Jong. Despite having just one point from three matches Moura feels they still have the chance to break into the knock out stage.
“We need to believe. I think we can qualify and we believe.
“We have three games left. We have the quality to qualify. We have to keep working, so let’s look forward to the next game.
“I’m a little bit sad because I scored and we played well. We had control of the game and we could have finished it and score the third, but we didn’t – that’s football.”
