Luciano Moggi claims Cristiano Ronaldo has already signed for Juventus

The player has been heavily linked with a summer exit

Cristiano Ronaldo was a slow starter last term and was one of the main reasons why Real Madrid struggled in the first half of the season. Then he picked up the pace, scoring 41 goals and assisting 8 in 40 games during the 2017/2018 campaign.

The Portugal International helped the club to win their 3rd consecutive Champions League under manager Zinedine Zidane after beating Liverpool 3-1 back in May. But after winning the title, he cast doubts over his future by hinting that he could leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The 33 year old superstar spoke about the club in the past tense after that game when he said: “We will talk in the future. It’s been really beautiful to play for Real Madrid. I’ll give a response in the coming days.”

There have strong rumours circulating this week that Juventus are keen to sign the Portuguese and are preparing a lucrative €120 million bid for him, with a four-year contract worth €30 million per season.

Former Turin side’s CEO Luciano Moggi claims that the Portuguese has already signed for the club and even revealed that he tried to sign him when he was a teenager.

The 80-year-old told Italian TV network Tele7Gold as quoted by Goal: “In my opinion, he has already signed and passed the medical examination with Juventus in Munich.

“This is what I think after talking to important people.”

“I received an alert,” said the former Juve chief. “I sent an observer to look at him, he was an 18-year-old boy, but he impressed me with his maturity and his choices.

“In the middle of the day I made the contract. Unfortunately, Marcelo Salas refused to sign for Sporting Lisbon because he wanted to return to River Plate.

“I offered five million more for an 18-year-old player, but it could not be done at that time.”
