Man United to sell Fellaini

Man United are set to offload Marouane Fellaini this summer. The midfielder has been a disaster since his £27.5m move from Everton last summer.

New boss Louis Van Gaal doesn’t think the Belgium can fit into the style of play he wants The Red Devils to play next year, so he is willing to sell him for £15m in the transfer window, if they can find someone who wants him.

He has made just 16 appearances for the club and he is failed to find the net in any of his games. A wrist injury kept Fellaini out for three months but even when he was fully fit he struggled for a place in the team and he even struggled to grab a place on the bench.

The club are now willing to £12m loss to cut themselves lose from the midfielder but even valued at £15m they may find it difficult to sell him. His stock has fallen so much in the past 12 months that he is no longer chased by big clubs in Europe, with Real Madrid previously being interested before his United switch.

This could mean that a bid of just £10m may see Man United let go of Fellaini, if it is clear that there is no place in Van Gaal’s side for him.
