Borussia Dortmund are ready to cash in on their key midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan. According to sources in Germany the 24-year-old does not want to sign a new contract with Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Manchester United are favourites for his signature, but Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also in the running.
Gundogan’s contract expires at the end of the 2015/16 season, and Dortmund would like to get some money back on the German international before he can leave on a free transfer.
He has played at every international level for Germany since Under-18’s, and although he may not be seen as a world superstar yet, he could be a very astute buy in this transfer window.
