Red Devils want to beat Arsenal to Leicester City star
Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Riyad Mahrez’s representatives to discuss a potential move from Leicester City in the New Year.
The winger has been in red-hot form for Claudio Ranieri‘s side, scoring seven and assisting four, making him one of the Premier League‘s top goalscorers, alongside team-mate Jamie Vardy.
Leicester have had a stunning start to the new campaign, and much of it is down to the incredible form of Mahrez.
According to reports in France, United officials have been so impressed with the Algerian, they have already begun talks with his representatives to discuss a potential transfer.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Agent Offers Update
Despite the links to bigger English clubs, Mahrez’s agent, Kamel Bengougam, confirmed that his client is happy at the King Power Stadium.
“Riyad is very happy at Leicester and he just signed a new contract at the club last month,” Bengougam said.
“Riyad is not thinking about the rumours and is focused on his season with Leicester and wants to continue his fine form.”
