Young defender extends contract at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea defender Alex Davey has confirmed that he’s signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
The youngster is currently out on-loan with League One side Peterborough United, and after breaking into the Posh‘s first-team, he’s been rewarded by his parent club with a new deal.
Davey, who can play central or at left-back, is deemed one for the future in West London, and it will come as a timely boost for the club that he’s agree to sign a long-term deal.
Ramires from the first-team also penned a new deal in the week which distracted the attention from the woes on the field, only until Saturday when Chelsea lost once again, this time to Liverpool.
Speaking about his new deal, the 20-year-old defender tweeted: “Happy to have signed another contract with @ChelseaFC, it’s been 10 years at the club now loved every minute of it.”
