Manchester City have today been linked with Queens Park Rangers Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar, after the goalkeeper has admitted that he would like to move away from Loftus Road in order to gain a place in his nations World Cup squad.

According to a The Telegraph, City are preparing a deal to snare the Brazilian away from the Championship side in a move that would see under fire goalkeeper Joe Hart’s long term future at the Etihad, come under ever increasing threat.

Hart has been dropped by Pellegrini in the last few weeks after some high profile mistakes, and it appears the QPR shot stopper his high on the City manager list as Hart looks to be heading nearer the exit door.

Cesar was looking for a move in the summer window following QPR’s relegation to the Championship, after being a stand out performer in an underachieving side last campaign.

The keeper had been linked with a possible move to Arsenal in the summer, with both Milan clubs after his prized signature.

Ceser couldn’t force a move away from the Loftus Road side, so he is now rotting on the bench behined former England goalkeeper Robert Green, in World Cup year.

A move to Manchester City could give Cesar some valuable playing time, in World Cup year, as the Brazilian looks to play Champions League Football, and force his way into Brazil’s squad.

Could a possible Cesar move force the under fire Joe Hart out ?
